Hello :) I'm Amy Jane.
I'm in charge of marketing, sales, sourcing, designing, social media management, & order packing, I am the business owner and the face behind Sophie Luella. I don't just run this show myself, I have my fiancee Rhys, our 3 furry babies Bear, Moe and Kiki and our beautiful 3 month old daughter Sophie Luella. Rhys looks after the boring stuff like book keeping and keeping me on track while the dogs keep me company in the home office packing your orders!
How and why did we start our business?
After a long & heartbreaking journey with ivf & infertility our miracle baby Sophie luella was born in august 2022, as was the concept for http://sophieluella.com.au/
After waiting such a long time to have our very own baby we had spent so much time researching all the things we would buy our baby when they finally arrived, we consider our knowledge of trendy baby toys, products, Accessories and clothing boss level.
About Us
We created Sophie luella to ethically source high quality baby items that were affordable and sustainable for the environment and completely safe for your most loved little ones.
We are located in Newcastle, NSW Australia. Our little family loves getting out & about and creating memories with those we love. We are animal lovers, our house is never clean but our hearts are always full. We hope our daughter will grow to have compassion & love for all animals great and small like we do. We believe that if all humans had hearts like animals do the world would be a more beautiful place.
I went off on maternity leave from work in the community services sector & to keep myself sane I tapped into my creative side which was oil making, candle making, tie dying, Cricut & personalisation, basically anything and everything creative! Not long after my little hobby turned into a little business which allows me to spend more time at home with my inspiration & biggest love Sophie Luella.
We hope with continued love and support from our customers http://sophieluella.com.au/ will grow into something bigger.
Ways in which we are striving to minimise our carbon footprint:
- Our products are sourced with a focus on quality & natural materials.
- We stock other like-minded environmentally friendly brands & products where possible.
- Sophie Luella's product packaging is designed to be very minimal, simple & recyclable.
- 90% of our mail packaging is eco friendly; our mail satchels are 100% compostable.
- We use 100% compostable shipping labels!
- We reuse and recycle at every opportunity we can! We often reuse bubble wrap/packaging & cardboard boxes that arrive to us with any of our incoming business purchases, and if we can't reuse them, we recycle them (where possible).
We do our best to support other small businesses whether it's purchasing from them, liking or sharing their posts and even stocking local businesses products
